Results solid spring wheat breeding in the Kuban

The spring durum wheat had been widely grown in Kuban region in the past and had great economic significance. Nowadays the breeding of this crop has importance for pasta and cereals manufacture supplying as well as for grain export business and diversification of grain market in the region. Krassar, Nikolasha and Lilyek are spring durum wheat varieties which have been released in the framework of the collaboration between Krasnodar Lukyanenko Research Institute of Agriculture and South-East Research Institute of Agriculture. They are suitable for different climatic zones of the North Caucasian and the Lower Volga region.
