The article presents the results of study of plant-breeding and collection material after the resistance to illnesses; it also presents the characteristics of economic-valuable signs of the material concerning its resistance to phytophthorosis and other diseases. The new sources of phytophthora-resistance are presented with a complex of economic-valuable signs (the high productivity, enhanceable maintenance of starch in tubers and resistance to other illnesses) which will be used in a plant-breeding process and production terms. Using a selection of original material created from phylogenetically distant species allows to obtain a new generation of high content in tuber starch. Manifestation of symptoms in offspring depends on its phenotypic manifestations in parental forms. A wide range of products using potato leads to an increase of production and improving its quality indicators. Reduced crop time-dependent appearance of blight and the degree of its development: the sooner the affected foliage, the lower tuber yield. In addition, the harmfulness of the disease depends on the length of the growing season, variety, degree of resistance to late blight, weather conditions in the second half of vegetation potato growing conditions of crops (soil type, fertilizer, timing of planting and training of quality seed, timing and quality of collection harvest, storage mode, the volume and quality of protective measures). High resistant varieties with the group in collectible nursery and in combination with high yield, observed: Slovyanka, Mukachivska, Uzhgorodska, Dnepryanka, Melody, Unità, Outskirts, Gift, Rahnida, Zdabytok, Fantasy, 5.1-12, 4.240 -41, 4.240-126, 4.240-24, 4.240-106.
